About the studio
DR Creative started in Montgomery, Alabama, where founder and owner Dequan Reynolds turned a hands-on custom build practice into a studio for treehouses, playhouses, and backyard structures with lasting character. It's been the same slow, careful approach ever since — six people now, still one crew, still no two builds alike.
We spend a full day just watching how a tree moves before we touch a saw. The design follows the lean, the canopy, and the root plate — never the other way around.
Every bracket, collar, and fastener is sized with 20 years of trunk growth in mind. Nothing chokes the tree it depends on.
The people who draw the plans are the same people swinging hammers on-site. No handoffs, no telephone game between designer and builder.
